At Bold Tyres (Tyre Hub) we understand that repairing a puncture is more cost effective than replacing it - especially if the tyre still has plenty of usable tread remaining.

You can rely on us at Bold Tyres (Tyre Hub) to give you an honest appraisal of your punctured tyre and if it can be repaired or not.

Every puncture repair we carry out is in accordance within BSAU159 regulations which stipulate that:

• Tyres can only be repaired in the area marked green on the diagram below
• For tyres with a speed rating of 'V' or above, only one repair is allowed

In every case the tyre should be inspected and if any of the following are identified then it should not be repaired:

• Illegal Tread Depth - below 1.6mm accross the central 3/4 of the tyre tread throughout the entire circumference
• Run Flat Damage - any breakdown of the tyre's structural integrity, either inside or outside
• Secondary Damage - caused by the puncturing object
• Poor Tyre Condition - any deteriation of the rubber due to aging
• Faulty or Poor Previous Repair
